Stars for the week ahead

"The advantage of a bad memory is that one enjoys several times the same good things for the first time." The philosopher, Nietzsche, wasn't right about everything, but here he made a good point. Is there a little something you have forgotten? Mars and Jupiter suggest that you are about to receive a reminder. You may feel a little surprised when it arrives or that it has come too late and that you should have been alerted to a key point some while ago. Never mind whose fault this is. All you need to know is that there is still, just, time to fix whatever is wrong - or to do whatever needs doing. Be glad of this and get a move on.

Home

I'm "working" from home today, as X is a bit under the weather and I fortunately had 'protected time' in my diary today.

So far today, I have made a trip to the bank, done a bit of freezer shopping at Iceland, read a few work related articles, made a few phonecalls, renewed my family credit, and sorted out my letter to reclaim my bank charges (£1731.50 without interest!!). Both of the latter will hopefully result in some extra funds of some sort, because just a day after payday I am already wondering how I am going to get through the month, (especially with no money from X's dad for the last three months, and Y's birthday in 3 weeks!!), although I'm not holding my breath for anything particularly speedy! (if at all)

Anyway, money moaning over, I'm off to do some pointless net surfing whilst trying to ignore the washing up and hoovering, before dinner and then a governors meeting at 7pm.

Ooh, wonder if I'll see Deputy Head...?!

The real world

In non-BB news, it's been a bit hectic with work the last couple of days. Yesterday was completely manic all day, and then I did outreach last night too, so was absolutely shattered by the time I hit the sack last night.

Today has been a bit better, but still busy, but at least I'm in this evening so have got a few hours to catch up with myself.

Roll on the weekend!

Pimped out

Well I'm all pimped out! I have sunk to a new low today in the name of "popularity", and have just pimped my ass all around Blogland! Enough is enough now. What will be will be...

Go vote for me though! Damn that one snuck in again :-)

Let the pimping commence....

Remembering

Times long ago.

A late night text. Or two...!!!

How funny! Had the most bizarre text conversation with SG last night, (again!!) well mostly him texting really as I sparked out at 1am. His typing wasn't quite as exact as mine, so I'm guessing some alcoholic beverages had been consumed!

Hi ya hun! I have a question? Can you tell me the truth? (12.10am)

Hey you. How you doing? So what's the question? (12.30am)

Can a man be at one with himself with one? Or should I not lust? Does my head, my heart or my cock tell me what is true? (12.37am)

Blimey! Bit late for philosophical debates! Will try to answer. If you mean can a man be at one with himself with just one woman, then yes, if its the right woman. Everybody lusts, its natural, to a certain degree! Always your heart. Something up? (12.50am)

Nothin up. Just up. I'm just thinking on. Are you ok? Am reading a good book at the moment. Bit over my head but good still. Have you spoken to Bea? (1am)

I am a man. Lust is my want. I want it and want it in return. I have a fetish that you know of! (1.50am)

Are you still there? (1.56am)

I hope to think what you're wearing! If I don't hear from you can I call you? (2.12am)

Missed call (2.28am)

OG... (2.51am)

Missed call (3.01am)

This morning...
Sorry SG, sparked out about 1am so didn't know anything else til this morning. Just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you. Are you okay? Will text you later from work.

Lunchtime today...
Hiya hun, can I catch you when I catch you. Have had a death in the family. Don't want to talk to anyone. Text you soon x

He really is a very strange kettle of fish!!

Didn't stop me dreaming about us sneaking into a room at his house during a BBQ and snogging the life out of each other though!! Hehehe!

Down time

A quiet, but calm weekend this weekend.

One of my members of staff is leaving at the end of the month, so Friday evening we had a few drinks in honour of her departure, which involved much rushing around after work, collecting fabulous Disco and fella from work town, driving back to hometown, a quick wash and brush up then back to worktown, enjoying a few beverages, chatting and giggling before returning back to hometown, driving back to worktown to take Disco and fella home again (left Y babysitting for 1/2 hr as X was sleeping in bed so no trouble), then back for a third and final time to hometown! It's amazing what I have to do to get out for a few hours!

Yesterday, was swimming lessons (no SPM, damn!) for X, followed by a quick wander around town before she went to daddy's at 3pm for the night. I'm still broke so insteading of finding something to do I decided to spend a bit of me and Y time, and we headed off to the cinema to watch Fantastic Four. Film was pretty good, made even better by the appearance of Julian McMahon, who I'd completely forgotten was in the first film, and always brightens up a cinema screen, and apart from a little memory flashback of being fed revels in the same cinema with a different film, was a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours.

We spent the rest of last night ensconced on the sofa in front of the tv, after munching on home made burgers, and then a fairly early night, which didn't stop either of us being in bed until lunchtime today! Headed off to the local swimming pool this afternoon for a bit of exercise, followed by the obligatory trip to Sainsbury's, before X's return, a tea of tomato soup, and some more sofa snuggling in front of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang before bed.

Managed to dredge up another (decidedly dodgy and underform) post for the latest Big Blogger task and lo and behold the weekend is over!

Wonder

If you ever miss me?

Stars for the week ahead

Got a bit of a cash-flow crisis? Expenditure exceeding income? Make some sensible choices by all means but don't let any of this worry you too much. Money is like the ocean, it rises and falls in time. These ebbs and flows are, in turn, controlled by the waxing and waning Moon. Right now, the Moon is growing Full in the part of your chart that governs wealth! Now, you might think that this would indicate an imminent filling of the coffers. It does. But if those coffers aren't clean, if they are full of old, tired, treasures or riddled with holes and debts, you may not benefit. Every problem you face this week, will lead to the chance to bring permanent improvement.

Adjusting

Is a slow, slow process.

Task

Well my first task has been completed, so head over to the Big Blogger house and join in the fun! Oh and remember to vote people OUT not in!! So don't vote for me (but be sure to vote for someone else, hehehe!)

In other news, I had a permanent exclusion meeting at the secondary school where I am a governor this morning, and I spent the whole time the 'evidence' was being presented by the Deputy Head thinking completely inappropriate thoughts about him! Wonder if he could tell? Wonder if it would be wrong to google him :-)

Update: Damn google found nothing! Apart from a reference to him related to the school! Bloody useless!

Sharing

There is so much of me, of my life that should be shared with you, yet there is so much more of your life that should be shared with me.

Thunderbolts and lightening...

Most exciting!! Well, as long as I'm tucked up in my nice, warm, safe house! I love thunderstorms, but can't bear to be out/driving in them.

Anyway, I'm off for a long bath, a glass of wine, several fags and 'Far from the Madding Crowd', whilst the storm rages outside the bathroom window. All at the same time. Just because I can!

Bloggeration!

Hmmm, so the first task has been set in the BB house! Unfortunately for me I need to come up with something witty and amusing to do with a celebrity. Which is kind of difficult considering I have never actually met anybody that could be termed a celebrity! It also doesn't help that the entire rest of the house seems to have celebrity stories popping out of their ears!!

Waaaah, am going to get booted before I've even started :-(

On a better note, I was in the local paper quoted loads today about my job (well the service I manage), so am feeling very important :-) Oooh, perhaps I'm a celebrity!!! I wish!

Thinking

Of you today. Every day.

Big Brother? So last year..!

Yay! I'm in!! (I'm a little concerned by how excited I am!!)

Joining my bloggy pal FB and a host of new (to me anyway) bloggy folks, I will, for the foreseeable future (hopefully the next few weeks anyway!), be blogging in secret from the fabulous distraction of the Big Blogger 2007 house. (Fortunately I've just managed to master the art of teleporting to enable normal duties to also continue!!)

So come on over, say hello and remind me of home! I may get lonely...
(Not to mention no doubt needing the bloody votes!!)

We are family

Well today turned into quite a pleasant old day after all. Took X to her pony party this morning, which was fine, and then headed over to my dad's to drop off card and chocs, only to find my baby sister and husband (who live around an hour away), and youngest brother and girlfriend there as well. So we had a proper family day of teasing, bickering, laughing and generally annoying each other! And I got fed!! Result!

And, to top that off, I have the biggest distraction headed my way this evening! Watch this space...!!

Stars for the week ahead

Why is our world so full of rules and regulations? It is partly because it is full of people who love to make laws. It is mainly, though, because of an even greater number of people who love to follow them. If they don't have plenty of dos and don'ts to obey, they feel nervous and insecure. Who cares whether those laws are appropriate or even necessary, just bring them on and lay them down. That may be the way most people think, but you are not 'most people'. You don't like being told what to do and you have no intention, this week, of honouring a pointless protocol. Nor should you. Your greatest asset now is your capacity for independent thought.

Well...

It's Saturday night and am I out having a whale of a time with a host of eligible young batchelors and other folks of fun and frivolity? Obviously not! Boring old Saturday night in for me this weekend. In fact, a whole weekend in for me.

So, in the event of lack of funds and lack of social life, the highlight of my weekend so far has been the novelty of taking X to swimming lessons at our newly opened swimming pool this morning (and seeing SPM who is still looking hot, hot, hot - in a nerdy, unoticeable, Clark Kent kind of way), followed by a trip to the library to stock up on Rainbow Fairy books (for X, not me, obviously!). The rest of the day passed somewhat dully, not to mention rainily, and now I am stuck in with nothing to do and nobody to do it with! Bah!!

Ah well, X has a pony party to attend tomorrow, and of course the obligatory trip to Pater's to take cards and chocolates. You never know, I may get a decent roast dinner out of it!

Strong

Your loss. As well as mine. That's what makes it all so utterly pointless.

But a strong day today. 'Fuck you' hovers. Almost believed.

The missing link

Well, after the BASTARDS that are Virgin Media and Abbey National stopped conspiring with Satan in regard to my finances, my phone now provides the miracle of both incoming and outgoing calls, my tv has resurrected the 40 or so entirely crap channels that usually exist, and most importantly that precious world wide web is now back on line in the magic box of my pc!
(On that subject, I'm sure there was another bastard to mention... )

Fortunately for me, it is that time of the year again... BIG BROTHER time of course! Yay! So, there has been a tiny ray of light in my dreary poverty stricken life, albeit a 1hr a night light (thanks to aforementioned loss of television channels) - with 2hrs on Sunday, woohoo!

Despite the marvels of the British summer - demonstrated yesterday by the heaviest rainfall (2 and half inches) for 30yrs, resulting in severe flooding in my local area! I have been to two consecutive Saturday night BBQ's at friends houses, and the sun shone on the righteous and the unrighteous for both of them! Burgers, coke and gossip were all lapped up at similar rates, and good nights had by all. (Well me anyway, sod the rest of them!)

Unfortunately, it hasn't all been sunshine and light, and this week saw the BEREAVEMENT of much loved (cough, cough) Henry and Jim. X and Y's little pet fishes respectively. I admit the tank may have needed a clean a couple of weeks ago, but avoiding housework without the benefit of Blogland to distract me took so much more time and effort! Eventually, Monday evening I decided Jim looked a little peaky and thought I had better get on with it. Fish were debarked to bucket of water, tank was cleaned and refilled and then left for 24hrs to dechlorinate and adjust to room temperature. I headed off to bed leaving H and J in new buckety home overnight (as I have done every time I cleaned the tank in the last year!). Was awoken in the morning by X informing me (somewhat gleefully, worryingly!) that Jim (Z's fish) had shuffled (or swum) off this mortal coil . Unfortunately, on returning home from school/work that evening, Henry had followed his fishy partner in crime to the great fishbowl in the sky, which X did not take anywhere near as joyfully! Fortunately, ice pops seemed to rectify the grief, and order was restored! Although now I have to keep reminding myself not to put fish food in the sparkling clean, but absolutely empty fish tank!
The other main event in the missing link period was that joyous of all occasions, BIG DAY of all big days... a birthday! Yes, my baby X has clocked another year of life under her belt and is now a big, fat 7!! I just about managed to survive the onslaught of 9 other 7yr olds for due birthday party (by just letting a local playplace sort everything for me), and a good time was had by all!

So, there you have it! A summary of my time away, to all intents and purposes. I'm sure there was more - in fact I know there was more, but everything has a time and a place, and while this may be the perfect place, right now I am not in the mood for dwelling, so BACK to business it is!

After

Even after all this time it still hurts to think of you talking with her, laughing with her, planning with her. It's those things that hurt.

I try to remember negative things, to tell myself it's good that you are gone, that I'm better off without you now. But even though I dredge deep for those things, they are rare, and that's just it; it's only negative things, negative experiences, that come to mind. It's so hard to think of you, of your essence as in any way wrong.

You will never be perfect, but you will always be perfect for me.

Today

I miss you. No matter how much I try not to. No matter how much I know you are gone. I miss you.

Bastards, BB, BBQs, Bereavements, Big days, BACK!

Well, ironically, after ATM (Across The Miles to you Middy) posted to let you know that I was internetless (but Armani Sunglasses intact), my internet has been restored. Much thanks to you ATM - an excellent job done! And a quote too! Hurrah!!

Normal service will resume shortly!

On behalf of.....

Hi all, I (ATM) am not really worthy of writing on this blog but am very happy to on behalf of the great OG...

I'd like to confirm that due to a slight lack of funds OG has no internet access but does say that the very posh sunglasses and perfume purchased in the Vegas duty free were worth it.

So she's busy working, partying as normal (on 1/2 a lemonade down the pub), looking after pesky X & Y (hey stinkbags how are you) and probably checking some new blokes technique.....

And finally I will leave you all with a quote (so that OG is proud of me)..

Stars for the week ahead

With each passing day this week, we come closer to a New Moon. The decreasing amount of moonlight allows us to see some stars and planets more brightly. Or, at least, it does if we are not watching them from a city where the endless glare of electric illumination almost entirely obscures the sky. No matter where you are, though, you will feel the energy of a special celestial situation. Mercury is stationary. Mars aligns harmoniously with Saturn. There's a chance to reflect, to become more sensitive, to see an additional side to a story that has become overly familiar - and to overcome old obstacles.

Stars for the week ahead

Jupiter, the ruler of your sign, remains retrograde. For a few months more, you'll have to live with asituation that isn't moving ahead as fast as you might wish. You may alsohave to deal with developments that have more to do with the past than thefuture. Consequences of old decisions. 'If only you had known then what younow know.' Don't waste time regretting wasted time! It's never too late andif you look at what could lie ahead, you will see every possible way toprofit from an experience and right a serious wrong in the process. The pastis a closed book. You can yet make the story of tomorrow, though, a tale oftrue triumph.
